Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC)
We understand that small business operators have very limited time in which to search for relevant information and assistance. By calling the SBDC, we can discuss your immediate e-Commerce needs and point you in the right direction.

Specialist Advisory Service — The Small Business Development Corporation has a team of experienced professionals who can provide information and guidance on starting a new business or growing an established business. The Small Business Services team has a background in small business and can help you in any area of your business in person, over the phone, or on site. Specialist team members can provide you with one-on-one assistance in the areas of leasing, business planning, marketing, franchising, financing and much more.
A specialist e-Commerce staff member is also available to provide you with relevant and up to date e-Commerce information and to help you progress your e-Commerce endeavors.

Email: info@sbdc.com.auBusiness Enterprise Centres (BECs) — A statewide network of BECs are located in metropolitan and country areas to assist you to expand your existing business or explore new business ideas. Each centre is community owned and run by a management committee comprising representatives from local business, private and public sector groups and local government. Each BEC has a manager committed to working with you to achieve your business goals. BEC managers have practical business experience and can provide assistance on finance, marketing, business planning, market research, trade information, regulations and licensing matters.

Small Business Improvement Program (SBIP) — An innovative program of the SBDC which is designed to assist WA small businesses to improve their competitive performance by taking a strategic planning approach to their development. The program provides a financial contribution of up to $5,000 to eligible small WA business wishing to have planning services undertaken by an external consultant. Planning services included are an e-Commerce Strategic Plan, Quality Assurance Certification, a Business Assessment, a Business Plan and a Strategic Marketing Plan.

Email: info@sbdc.com.auBusiness Information Licence Centre (BILC) — Invaluable assistance can be gained from visiting the centre located at 553 Hay Street Perth. Whether you are considering a new business idea or expanding an already existing small business, you can receive information on business licence requirements to assist in the development process. A business licence package can be created from a database of over 8,000 business licences at the local, state and federal government level. If you can not make it into the centre, packages can be sent out or you can obtain information online by accessing the Business Licence Information Service (BLIS) website. In addition, a large range of business related books and reference material is available. There is also access to an online information area for small business market research purposes and a representative from the Australian Taxation Office available to answer all your taxation queries.

Department of Education and Training — Western Australian Training Info Centre
The Western Australian Training Info Centre is the key entry point for Access All Areas which is about opening doors to the many training and employment options available today.
Staff at the Centre are available to discuss your options, or you may use the other resources available such as OZJAC, an easy to use computer program that provides information on jobs and courses offered by TAFE, universities and registered private providers.
The Centre is on the ground floor of Albert Facey Houses on the corner of Wellington Street and Forrest Place in Perth. Central TAFE
Central TAFE (Central) is a leader in Vocational Education and Training in Australia. It is the largest TAFE college in Western Australia, with its roots going back one hundred years to the days of Perth Technical College, Western Australia's original TAFE institution.
The college operates from four main campuses (Perth, East Perth, Mt Lawley and Leederville) and several annexes which are easily accessible by train and/or bus.

This online training program, “e-Start”, has been developed by Central TAFE for the Small Business Development Corporation. It is a testament to the College’s ability to provide industry focused, flexible training solutions.
On completion of e-Start you may wish to further develop your knowledge and skills in this area. The College delivers a range of business, e-Commerce and management training courses designed to provide practical training with a focus on business application and job skills.
